Scales CANNOT be earned by clicking
Every day since the day you registered you will earn +1 scale
Posting topics/posts in certain forums earns 1-2 scales (some of the forums that earn scales are the my reptiles and art, there are more though.) More popular forums like chat and news don't earn any scales.
On holidays and other special day (or maybe even if i feel like it) some scales will be given free to every member.
View your scales by either going to your profile or looking at a post you have made
